At Om, sustainability is not a separate product line. It is how we have worked since 2003: choosing ingredients, writing formulas, packing and delivering so that resort bathrooms produce less waste while the guest experience stays complete.
Context
Why a green commitment matters to hotels
Today’s travellers notice sustainability, from the property itself to the smallest items in the bathroom. International hotel groups and 5-star resorts in Vietnam have set targets to cut single-use plastic, and amenities are where guests see those targets most clearly. Choosing sustainable hotel amenities is therefore both an environmental responsibility and part of the property’s brand image.
Five pillars
Om’s green commitment
Each commitment below is tied to a specific product that a property can verify.
01
Minimal formulas
Since 2003, Om has kept parabens and silicones out of its hotel shampoo and shower gel. Om now develops two formula directions: sulfate-free for premium resorts, and mild-sulfate for broader everyday use. Products are not tested on animals.
02
Refills instead of mini bottles
Shampoo, shower gel and conditioner come in 5-litre refill cans for dispensers, replacing large numbers of single-use mini bottles. Om’s plastic packaging uses PET and HDPE, both recyclable plastics.
03
Dry amenities with less plastic
Toothbrushes, combs, razors and cotton buds made from plant-based materials such as wheat straw, bamboo and corn starch. Each item is packed in a logo-printed kraft paper bag instead of a plastic bag.
04
Local ingredients
Om favours ingredients from Vietnam: Tien Giang lemongrass, Ham Yen sweet orange, cinnamon and the Kỳ Nam scent of Khanh Hoa. Nearby sourcing keeps traceability clear and brings Vietnam’s story into the guest experience.
05
Support for green reporting
Om provides packaging specifications and order data so properties can include them in sustainability reports and certification files such as GSTC, Green Globe, EarthCheck, Green Key or Vietnam’s Green Lotus label.

In operation
What a greener bathroom looks like
- Bathroom: logo-printed dispensers refilled from 5-litre cans; dry amenity sets in kraft bags.
- Housekeeping: a simple cleaning and refilling routine, with batch numbers recorded for traceability.
- Empty cans: HDPE sorted separately on site and passed to a recycling collector.
- Public areas: hand wash and space scenting share one essential-oil scent family.
A scent of your own, the same standard. Every property has its own character. Om develops signature scents on the same ingredient and formula foundation, so a resort’s identity never has to be traded for its green commitment.
