Om Fountain: partner to 5-star hotels and resorts in Vietnam since 2003.
A minimal path, in pursuit of purity
Since entering the cosmetics industry in 2003, Om Fountain’s path has been a pursuit of purity and a commitment to the value of local ingredients.
Products described as “natural and pure” are no longer rare. But Om is different, because Om has pursued these qualities, often alone, since 2003.
If “eco-friendly” is fashionable today, Om has spent more than two decades growing in that spirit.

A contrarian philosophy, and the first clients
When local customers still looked for products with “rich, intense” fragrance, Om kept pursuing what is “natural and pure”.
This contrarian brand lived and grew on the philosophy of the Diamond Sutra, with an equally unconventional route to market: Om’s very first clients were international 5-star hotels and resorts.
Six Senses and the turn towards eco-friendly formulas
Surprised to learn that Six Senses placed nature conservation and respect for “the local” at the heart of how it chose suppliers at home and abroad, Madam Cát Tường began to study eco-friendly criteria: keeping pressure on the environment as low as possible.
At the time, locally made shampoo and shower gel were rare in Vietnam. An “eco-friendly” shampoo or shower gel seemed almost unimaginable.

Madam Cát Tường and a passion for local ingredients
Senior resort managers often told her: “Not only in Vietnam, but in every country where Six Senses and other luxury operators set foot, they want to use local products, to create income for local people and help those places develop their own values. For shampoo and shower gel, when no product met the strict environmental and safety criteria, the resort had to import.” Madam Cát Tường decided to become the “local” who made such products.
Her years working with a Thai group had introduced her to respected multinational essential-oil suppliers and planted a passion for these liquids full of the living energy of plants and herbs. On her new path, essential oils would be indispensable: “ambassadors of nature” that cleanse, scent and bring a sense of calm.
Resort criteria and difficult beginnings
When Madam Cát Tường committed to investing in and personally creating products from local ingredients that met the resort’s criteria, Six Senses’ leadership gave her detailed ingredient criteria and connected her with resorts in Thailand, so she could better understand naturally aligned cosmetics.
Throughout the early years, she and her colleagues studied renowned natural products from around the world, analysing the strengths of each. She spent a great deal of time with raw-material suppliers to find partners who shared the same direction.

Om Fountain: a choice made with conviction
Om followed a natural path very early in Vietnam, yet few Vietnamese knew it. In the local market of the time, the brand drew its strength from the very fact that many people turned it down.
When Om launched its first shower gel and shampoo scented with pure lemongrass, many were disappointed that it was… not fragrant enough. Scents extracted from plants were simply not “strong enough” for local consumers back then.
With its niche in international luxury hotel groups, Om faced a choice: become “less pure, add more fragrance” to win the mass domestic market. Madam Cát Tường refused. She believed that “purity, in harmony with nature, is the future”, and that the day would come when local customers would weigh safety before every purchase.
That was more than 20 years ago.
Om Fountain goes international
Today, Om supplies scent and personal-care products to leading hotels in Vietnam. Om Fountain’s hotel shampoo and shower gel have been available in Singapore since 2017, and in Canada, Dubai and the United Kingdom since 2024.
More than ever, Madam Cát Tường longs to return to the home market. The journey abroad was a way to earn credibility and bring it back to Vietnamese customers. Products made on Vietnamese soil, by Vietnamese people, for Vietnamese health and environment, will always count Vietnamese customers among Om’s most valued.
International standards and an experienced engineering team
Since 2003, Om has moved steadily towards nature with friendly raw materials, gradually removing ingredients such as parabens, sulfates and silicones, in line with the safety expectations of demanding markets such as the United States and Europe.
None of this would be possible without a passionate team of engineers who trained at major Japanese, Korean and American companies, and an exceptional operations team, all sharing one simple wish: that “customers can feel at ease about their health when using Om’s products”.
Om Fountain today
There are many more stories to tell about Om. Like the founder’s determination to build a “premium product” from the scent of lemongrass, a scent many Vietnamese once associated only with the kitchen.
Madam Cát Tường defended that very Vietnamese lemongrass scent. Today, as Vietnamese people embrace lemongrass as a beloved herbal fragrance, Om already has refined, distinctive products built around it.
After more than two decades of pursuing purity and local value, Om Fountain aims to stand strong at home, in the domestic market, with hotel shampoo and shower gel made to international standards. It is a natural ambition for a Vietnamese brand that cares for Vietnamese health and environment.

From Om’s workshop to the resort bathroom
Om develops its own formulas and manufactures in its own workshop, from weighing and adding ingredients to mixing, filling and packing. Every batch is numbered for traceability and delivered to hotels with product notification files, MSDS and a batch COA.

What Madam Cát Tường began in 2003 is now six product families for hotels and resorts, sharing one ingredient standard and a consistent green commitment.
